This is a copy of a social media post I made on the 19th of December, 2026.
It was a few days after the tragedy of Bondi Beach.
Some time ago I had an encounter with Tikva’el – the Angel of Hope.
She came as a bright presence, as a messenger of Promise.
And I learned that she comes when the night is longest, holding a rope of light.
In Hebrew the root word of Tikva (hope) is qavah (קוה) which means to wait, to bind together, to twist like a cord.
In Hebrew numerology hope can mean “the rope that binds you to divine completeness” (maybe another way of saying that could be, the connection between the earth realm and the realm of heaven).
A few days ago as I sat before God with both my own pain and the darkness over my nation, with the despair, fear and weight of grief and suffering, I felt overwhelmed and at a loss as to what the way forward might be.
Slowly, gently I began to sense the presence of Tikva’el. Her Being began to minister to my weary soul, infusing it with the warmth of her light.
When my heart felt the strength of connection with God again (the “rope”) I felt empowered to ask her to minister to our nation in the same way – manifesting her fullness so that we, as a nation, might be en-couraged to know what it is to have hope again.
Not a vain imagining but a tangible vision of divine completeness (heaven) and how each of us can see that fulfilled in both our own lives and throughout the collective.
Romans 5:5 from The Voice translation
“And hope will never fail to satisfy our deepest need because the Holy Spirit that was given to us has flooded our hearts with God’s love.”
Nb. This image was generated many months ago when I first encountered this angel. After this recent encounter I felt prompted to look at it again and was VERY astonished by the symbology – the Star of David representing hope for the Jewish nation.
Blessings and Shalom
